LAINE HILL is an Amsterdam-based sportswear brand, known for using as many natural fibres as possible. Especially in the sports world, we live in a world full of polyester, and we are here to set higher standards in this category.
Our sportset is 92% organic cotton and 8% spandex. Cotton is a much better option than polyester. Especially organic cotton, since regular cotton still uses a lot of pesticides and chemical treatments that you don't want on your skin. The spandex is not ideal, but it is essential to not compromise on movement and style.

My name is Ilse. I started LAINE HILL because I noticed something I couldn't unsee.
For years, I've been the one who reads labels. I switched to natural cosmetics and try to eat as pure and unprocessed as possible. I slowly removed the toxic load from my home, one product, one habit, one choice at a time.
Friends jokingly call me the "health guru". All of that without compromising on how I look.
And then I'd go work out. And I'd be wearing polyester. Just like everyone else.
The more I looked into it, the harder it was to ignore. Synthetic activewear sits against your skin for hours. While you sweat. While your pores are open and your body is absorbing more than it normally would. Research from the University of Birmingham found that sweat literally draws hazardous chemicals, including endocrine disruptors, out of synthetic fibres and into your skin. The same chemicals linked to hormone disruption.
I wasn't willing to be that careful everywhere else and ignore this.
So I made what I was looking for. Organic cotton activewear that doesn't make you choose between looking good and being clean about what touches your body.
Not because I wanted to save the world. We are still consuming. But I couldn't find it, and I was tired of waiting.
